Sam Pettigrew is a ceramic artist based on Bribie Island. Working mostly with porcelain, she creates bold and tactile pieces that incorporate sgraffito techniques and hand colouring. Her inspiration comes from the immediate environment-from the detailed illustrations of natural history to the the intricate designs of the arts and crafts movement.

Heavily influenced by modernist female artists from Australia. Sam infuses their unique styles into her own work. Through her ceramics ,she strives to bring a touch of beauty and connection to the everyday objects we use.
